Record Breaking Year for Shipping: Here's How to Manage Expectations

This year, more than ever, online shopping is at an all-time high as people are trying to avoid large crowds at malls and stores to try and keep safe. What that has meant is also record delays with shipping carriers, as delivery workers and carriers work their hardest to ensure everyone's mail arrives on time, regardless of rain, sleet or snow.

However, at Society Nine, we've observed that despite our recommendations to our community for scheduling and placing orders ahead of time, as well communicating the recommended industry deadline of December 15th (domestically) to ensure on time arrival for the holidays, due to circumstances beyond our own control delays may still end up occurring. 

We are noticing a mix of issues from weather, which is beyond anyone's control (hope you're staying warm out there, in the Northeast and Midwest!) to the sheer volume that the entire industry has simply never seen before. It's easy to forget that this whole system, though growing more and more efficient, is still run by hard working humans at every step of the way. 

As such, if you're experiencing any delays or issues with your package, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We'll do our best to gather any information we can to help inform what's going on with your stuff.
